One of the most useful things that a file explorer can do for you is display file information without making you open the file in question.
However, this is just another thing that the default Windows file explorer is not capable of.
InfoTag Magic is a free application for Windows that you can use to view various lines of text with information about any file that you hover your cursor over.
This really comes in handy if, for example, you have an untitled audio file. Now you can quickly preview the information included in its ID3 tag, and use that to correctly identify it.
Currently, InfoTag Magic only supports MP3, WMA, Monkey's Audio, and Ogg Vorbis audio files; TXT, INI, LOG, BAT, DIZ, BAK, and QUE text files; and EXE, DLL, and OCX executable files.
